Summer Staff 2016Kakeka Bound Leadership Development Program

Kakeka Bound Leadership Development programs offer four levels of training and hands on work experience. Our goal is to continually provide excellent training and development of young leaders. With a focus on things “eternal”, we are developing future leaders that will go out, and use their skills in their community and work to build the Kingdom of God.

Kakeka Bound Development (KBD)

Age Requirements - Graduates of Grade 9
Program Length – 5 Weeks

This is a training opportunity for those who have graduated from grade nine and wish to serve. This is a five week program and will run five weeks consecutively. Dates to be arranged with the Executive Director. KBD will provide an opportunity to learn in various areas of camp along with quality teaching on how to effectively minster through camp ministry. Our training program will focus on personal development, spiritual growth, and serving the guests.

Kakeka Bound Crew (KBC)

Age Requirements - Graduates of Grade 10
Program Length – 10 Weeks

Taking a summer to serve others at camp is the starting point to building and developing leadership skills. The first step of leadership is a commitment to serve. Our KB Crew will work in all aspects of camp ministry. They will learn and build skills in the areas of program, maintenance and kitchen. In addition to serving the guests, they will also live in a dorm environment, where they will be guided by quality leaders to learn and grow in their relationship with Christ. They will use their skills and gifts to lead in worship, plan and coordinate programs, cook in the kitchen and make minor repairs to the property. KB Crew is about developing the whole person, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally. Ultimately, we want to develop young leaders to meet their unlimited potential in Christ.
